America the Beautiful

Oh Say Can You See, just how wonderfully fooled we are about most everything that goes on in our lives regarding finances, our health, our heroes and our leaders. Ever since mass media has been managed by only a few large corporations, our information and news is basically a reflection of what these corporations want us to think. We are managed by Big Brother in every aspect of our lives. George Orwell's prophetic book 1984 has never seemed so real. I love the internet and belong to many social groups, but am beginning to think it was conceived primarily to keep track of the world population in a very quiet but effective way. We all tell so much about ourselves, show pictures of our families, our friends, coworkers - give our birthdays and complete bio with past college, employer and community involvement activities. Heck, what don't we tell others through this magical electronic box and the internet? Personally I spend up to 12 hours a day in front of this screen at times as I design websites, write blogs and surf around for information. I produce music through this box. I listen to music, I watch videos, I make videos; it is my biggest tool. I used to paint murals and custom subjects, playing with color and form. Now I'm attached to this electromagnetic machine for all of my mental and business needs. Hummmm, a lot of us are - millions I'd say, no, billions! Across the world there is this transfer of thoughts, ideas, sentiments, mindwaves that never stops. We are all SO connected, and the government has access to every single thing we've ever written and transmitted - and, now they even SAY so by making it legal to store every bit of information in massive trillobit drives throughout the land. Amazing - how does one really keep track of it all - ah yes, they know how - coding, algorithms, computer geniuses. When we're not in front of this screen playing games or working or whatever we do here, we are generally watching television, no? Watch the news, the terribly biased and filtered news, the news "they" want us to watch, the vaccine "they" want us to take, the truth "they" want us to know. I say BeWare all, there is so much manipulation and misrepresentation regarding our financial institutions, our government, our health choices - everything is filtered through some entity that wants our money, wants us to spend money on their product, wants us to believe that they have our best interests in mind - it's such a bunch of crap. I don't believe any political party really cares about its people anymore - it is all posturing and protecting the rich and powerful, especially their own interests and livelihoods. I believe this president does sincerely care for the people and is trying to make effective, positive change, but the powers that be are tearing him apart, bringing him down, slandering his policies, not giving him a chance to make things better. Why? Don't we remember what George W. Bush did to this country - taking away our freedoms and privacy, taking us to an unjustified war, depleting our pocketbooks throwing us into huge debt after the surplus years of Clinton, allowing the Big Banks to go crazy with the derivative markets - all this he achieved while in office and no one seems to remember - it's all this administrations doing, it would seem. Oh, I am so fed up. It's enough - I don't listen anymore to the far right cries of "commie fascist" "devil" "Muslim lover" and on and on. I love this country, I will continue to love it and try to guide it to a safe and healthy place through prayers and meditation. The political system is stalled, nothing is happening in Congress - partisanship has gone ballistic. The Times they are A'Changin' that is for sure. I'm for living in the light, being of service, believing in a higher power that looks down on us and says, silly humans, you are wasting so much time with war and fighting and big egos. Let's all get along - or?? Tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, famine, disease, bio-terrorism - there are many ways this planet's population is being culled. It is necessary - we are just too many beings on a finite space that haven't learned how to share and conserve our resources. We will, we have to - it's the only hope for a future.
Susanna Jade has been writing, drawing, painting, singing, dancing, playing guitar, piano and other instruments since she was a young child. She's an older child now, but still enjoys the little things in life and is grateful everyday for her talent, brains, common sense and sense of humor, and oh yeah, for being blessed with a healthy body too. Amazing.

I certainly agree with a lot of what you say here. I especially agree with,
"the terribly biased and filtered news, the news "they" want us to watch, the vaccine "they" want us to take, the truth "they" want us to know" We are slowly becoming a Country that has forgotten how to think for ourselves and take care of ourselves without news media and government wanting to make us believe we need them for sustenance. I'm not sure who "they" are but "they" better stop it. I am afraid "they" will keep making "us" reveal personal information about "ourselves" online until "we" stop giving it to "them" whoever "they" are.
